The international organization OIDEL is examining growing concerns about religious liberty in Catholic schools around the world. The group advocates for parents' rights to direct their children's education rather than leaving that authority to the government. OIDEL recently partnered with the University of Notre Dame to host a symposium focused on the state of Catholic schools and the importance of school choice. General Director of OIDEL, Ignasi Grau, joins to discuss areas where religious freedom for Catholic schools is thriving—and where it’s under threat—as well as how governments are infringing on parental rights. He also addresses whether the Vatican has weighed in on the issue and how OIDEL is pushing back against misinformation campaigns led by teachers' unions.
