Saint Thomas More, a public figure who went down in the history books as the one politician who stood steadfastly for His faith, for His loyalty and obedience to the Church Christ founded, losing his head for it.

Cardinal John Fisher went down in the annals of history as the one bishop who stood firm in His faith, refusing to go into schism, while all the other English bishops caved and swore the oath, thus committing schism. Cardinal Fisher also lost his head for it.

More and Fisher are now both saints in Heaven, regarded for their heroic courage and fidelity.

And poor Chris Coghlan. He will go down in the history books as the squeamish, whiny, faithless politician he is, who threw a public temper tantrum when forced to face the consequences of his infidelity, disobedience, and grave violation of Catholic teaching.

He’ll be regarded with contempt for his cowardice and hypocrisy.
